IDPA Stage Design Software
Build an IDPA stage the way it will stand on the range: targets with the hard cover you want, non-threats, barrels, walls and cover lines. Check what the shooter can see from every position, then hand your squad a clean stage brief.
Every IDPA target you set
Place IDPA targets and cycle each one through the hard-cover variants: head only, top half, left or right hand, the diagonals, profile, V-neck and Down 3 removed. If none of those fit, draw your own hard cover on the target. Non-threats show their hands, the way they look on the range.
- Steel A and B poppers, plates and plate racks
- Walls with doors and windows, barrels and cover lines
- Moving targets and the stomp boxes that start them
- Target numbers assigned in the order a shooter meets them
See what the shooter sees
Turn on sight lines and the floor greys out wherever the shooter cannot see from the active position. In 3D the check runs at eye height against the actual walls and barrels, so you find the target that can be shot from the wrong side before your safety officers do.
Mark each shooting position and the targets it engages, and the editor drafts the procedure for you from those positions.
A brief your squad can read
Fill in the scenario, start position, procedure and concealment, and print a stage sheet with a QR code that links to the live stage. Collect the stages into a match book that shooters can read on their phone or in print.
Walk it and shoot it first
Walk the stage on screen, or put on a Meta Quest 3 or 3S and shoot it at full size. The results card scores an IDPA run as time plus points down, target by target, so you can see how the stage plays before match day.
Questions
- Does it have the IDPA hard-cover targets?
- Yes: head only, top half, left and right hand, both diagonals, profile, V-neck and Down 3 removed are built in, and you can draw your own hard cover on any target.
- Can I use it for 2D stage diagrams?
- Yes. The 2D editor draws the classic stage diagram, with targets, steel and props shown in perspective so a shooter can tell what is facing them. It shares the stage library and match books with the 3D editor.
- Does it do other rulesets too?
- Yes. Both editors also design GPA, USPSA, IPSC and PCSL stages, and the 3D editor does ICORE. Each stage picks its own ruleset and target type.
- Can I try it before paying?
- Every account gets both editors free for 45 days with no card up front, then it is $12 a year. You can also try the 2D editor right now with no account at all.
